Exploring Home: The Wines of Santa Barbara County - January 23, 2025

We started our Wine Society 3 years ago, and we have taken our members all over the world and highlighted some of the best regions the United States has to offer. As two Santa Barbara natives we were lucky to grow up with one of the most unique wine areas in the world right in our backyard. Santa Barbara County boasts a wide variety of micro-climates that grow an amazing selection of wines. It has everything, from the cool Sta. Rita Hills growing Pinot Noir and Chardonnay to the hot and dry reaches of Happy Canyon growing Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc. In this class we will hand select 3 bottles that highlight what makes this region so special and demonstrate why this should be everyone's first choice to visit in California.

Discovering South African Wine: A comprehensive tasting and learning experience - March 20, 2025

This class is very special to us at Crush It. We have been searching for and tasting wines from South Africa for years looking for the best options we can find to represent a fairly unknown wine region. We have succeeded in connecting with high-end niche producers that make the best wine South Africa has to offer. In this class we will take on a trip to South Africa, with 3 wines from 3 different regions made by not only the best, but some of the up and coming winemakers. You will learn how this country has cultivated and supported its growth to improve not only the quality of its wines but its vineyards as well. This will be a singular opportunity to explore a place that not many have visited and wines that are hard to get.

Chardonnay Uncorked: Taste and Learn about this Iconic Wine - May 29, 2025

Chardonnay can be a major divide for wine drinkers. We have the California ‘Butter Bombs’ juxtaposed with the refined White Burgundys and Blanc de Blancs sparkling. Chardonnay contains multitudes and that is why we chose it to be a singular subject for one of our classes. Although we often refer to Chardonnay as the ‘tofu of wine’, that is what makes it such an amazing choice to learn about. We promise that our picks for this class will either change your mind about Chardonnay and its ability to be a truly excellent wine that can pair with so many foods or reinforce what you already knew. In this class we will hand select 3 different expressions of Chardonnay from around the world that will open your eyes to all of its possibilities.
