This is a bright, crisp sparkling rosé with tasting notes of wild strawberries, fresh thyme, cranberries and a hint of lemon zest. This is a dry wine with good acidity and tingly bubbles that sing like pop rocks on your palate.

Je T’aime winery from Southern France crafts sparkling cremant wines as another way to say I Love You. All of their wines are made using traditional methods and with grapes native to the region.

Crémant and Crémant Rosé: 

Cremant is a traditional method sparkling wine from different regions of France. Basically it's made using the exact same method as Champagne, but it’s not from Champagne so you can’t call it that. Plus, these different regions are known for growing different grapes so instead of the standard 3 grapes from Champagne - Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay - cremant can be made from any number of different grapes. This Cremant de Limoux though is made primarily from Chardonnay with a little bit of Pinot Noir blended in for color and flavor.

Limoux, France: 

Limoux is in the Languedoc-Roussillon region of southern France. Named for and centered around the city of Limoux this region produces both red and white wines but is most known for its whites including Mauzac, Chardonnay and Chenin Blanc. Cremant Sparkling wines are one of the most produced styles in this region. In fact, historians believe that the worlds first sparkling wines were produced here in 1531 by monks in the abbey of Saint-Hilaire.

Food & Wine Pairing: 

Cremant Rosé is an excellent starter wine. Break this out at the start of your meal or gathering and pair with your cheese and charcuterie board because sparkling wine loves fat and salt. Or pop this bottle when you get take out Chinese or Thai because this fruity rosé can stand up to a little spice.
