Victorine De Chastenay Crémant de Bourgogne Brut
Cremant de Bourgogne is made using the same method as Champagne with precise labor, intensive fermentation in bottle. But this wine is produced in the region of Burgundy and every part of this wine show cases that.
It is a blend of basically the only 4 grapes that are grown in Burgundy, 75% Pinot Noir, 10% Gamay, 10% Aligote and 5% Gamay. The grapes were sourced from two of the top growing regions in Burgundy - Cote de Nuits and Cote de Beaune collectively known as the Cote d'Or.
This sparkling wine is fresh and simple but also highly elegant. It's full of red fruits on the nose and a richness on the palate that can come off as very slightly sweet but is balanced out by a crisp, dry finish. This is the perfect wine to take on your afternoon picnic or to break out at the beginning of a meal with light appetizers or a cheese plate.
